Cycling

Cycling is not a permitted activity within the national park. Cycling is permitted exclusively on the state roads D1, D42 and D52.

Pursuant to the protection zone as defined in the Management Plan of Plitvice Lakes National Park, cycling activities are possible in the southern, edge parts of the park. In this section, there is an organised and marked network of cycling trails in the area of the municipality Plitvička Jezera. On the northern side, right to the edge of the national park, there is also an organised and marked network of cycling trails within the municipality Rakovica.

More information on the availability of the cycling trails, routes, control points and other points of interest regarding cycling in the Plitvice Lakes environs is available on the websites of the Tourist boards of the municipalities Plitvička Jezera and Rakovica.
