The Plitvice Lakes National Park participated in the 2nd Regional Conference of the CAMPUS Project (Interreg IT-CRO 2021-2027), which was organized by the project partner, the University of Venice, on February 18, 2026 in Venice. The presentations of invited experts in the development of the multi-risk assessment methodology for climate change by the project partners, the maintenance and results of the previous living labs, and the development of adaptation plans were an interesting contribution to the overall implementation of the project. The National Park, as an associated partner with the partner of the Lika-Senj County Development Agency – LIRA, expects to develop a Climate Change Adaptation Plan and a Feasibility Study for reducing carbon emissions by the end of the project. The Climate Adaptation Plans for UNESCO Sites (CAMPUS) project runs until the end of July 2026, and more activities are planned, such as the third and fourth Regional Conferences with the participation of various stakeholders, as well as additional workshops and living labs.
