We are pleased to introduce the Cultural Art Society “Korana” from Slunj, which is dedicated to preserving the traditional folklore with love and passion. Established in 1993, KUD “Korana” has around 70 active members divided into several sections – folklore, tamburitza, children’s, and mixed vocal group “Lovor”.
KUD “Korana” proudly participated in numerous national, county, and local festivals and events, spreading joy and the culture of their region throughout Croatia. They have also released two CDs that faithfully represent traditional music, as well as a documentary film titled “Kao nekad,” which will introduce you to their rich tradition. In addition, they organized two photography exhibitions under the same name to visually showcase the beauty of their folklore.
The performance of KUD “Korana” in the Plitvice Lakes National Park will provide you with a unique opportunity to experience the richness of cultural heritage in a stunning natural environment. This year’s performance as part of the Summer of Cultural Heritage will take place on September 3, 2023, at Entrance 1 of the Plitvice Lakes National Park, starting at 5 PM. Join us and be a part of this cultural experience that will delight you with its authenticity and the rich folklore tradition of this region.
