This summer, we decided to combine the beauty of the nature of the National Park with the cultural treasures of the surroundings. The Plitvice region abounds with cultural and artistic societies that preserve from oblivion and pass on the entire spectrum of customs to the future generations. Throughout August and September, you can enjoy performances by companies from Karlovac, Slunj, Korenica and Otočac. Performances will be held in Korana and Borje campsites, and at Entrance 1 and Kozjačka Draga.

The Plitvice Cultural Summer is a celebration of artistic expression that takes advantage of the park’s unique setting. Cultural and arts associations from across region gather to bring a variety of performances to the park. This fusion of nature and culture creates an atmosphere unlike any other, where the sound of nature harmonizes with music, and traditional dances echo through the trees.

One of the most remarkable aspects of the Plitvice Cultural Summer is the diversity of performances on display. Visitors can witness traditional folk dances that pay homage to Croatia’s rich heritage, featuring vibrant costumes and intricate choreography. These dances often tell stories of the region’s history and its people, offering a glimpse into the country’s past.

Perhaps one of the most heartwarming aspects of the Plitvice Cultural Summer is the sense of community it fosters. Both performers and spectators come together to appreciate the beauty of art and nature. The event creates a platform for cultural exchange, where people from all walks of life can connect through their shared love for creativity and the environment.

The Plitvice Cultural Summer stands as a testament to the power of blending art, culture, and nature. The performances by cultural and arts associations not only entertain and educate but also serve as a reminder of the importance of preserving our cultural heritage and the natural wonders that surround us.
